Let the child know which text is poisonous

Fashionable pencil cases, fragrant ballpoint pens, colorful oil pastels, small and exquisite erasers... These dazzling stationery in stores and supermarkets attract more and more children. However, few people are concerned about whether children are safe in using these stationery.

Recently, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine conducted a random inspection of 94 enterprises produced in 8 provinces (cities) including Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, etc. according to the requirements of national standards for the safety of student supplies. Batch products, mainly used for rubber, correction fluid, glue, crayons, oil pastels and other common student supplies.

In 2011, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued a special national inspection of the quality of student supplies: 29 batches of 19 companies did not meet the standard requirements. Among them, 20 batches of unqualified products are due to excessive formaldehyde, accounting for 68.97% of all products. Pay attention to solid glue, liquid glue and glue. In addition, the problems of oil pastels and crayon are mainly the lead and bismuth content exceeding the standard. The problem of the correction fluid is mainly the benzene content exceeding the standard.

When we saw the results of the random inspection issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on the safety of student supplies, we could not help but be shocked. The original stationery "killer" was quietly approaching the children. In addition to a series of measures taken by the state, we must also take precautions to let children know which stationery has potential safety hazards, avoid using toxic stationery and protect their physical and mental health.

★Let the children know the characteristics of unsafe stationery

We must keep children away from toxic stationery, let them know which are unsafe stationery. In general, unsafe text has two major characteristics: one is that there is no safety warning, and the other is that it contains toxic substances. Professional children's photography, relying on sesame to open the door.

There is no safety warning, that is, there is no indication of the manufacturer, production date, approval number and Chinese logo. For this type of stationery, we must not let the children buy.

The so-called toxic substances, such as fluorescent whitening agents, such as the paper is very white, will affect the child's vision, increase the burden on the child's liver; heavy metals, such as lead in the pencil, will affect the child's nervous system development, and even lead to Intellect decline; toxic compounds, such as stationery that emits fragrance, generally contain toxic compounds such as phenol and formaldehyde, which cause damage to the child's body...

We must not only let the child know how to determine whether the stationery is safe, but also tell him the harm of the poisonous stationery to the body. In this way, the child will naturally choose a safe stationery.

★Try not to let your child use the correction fluid

If the child writes the wrong word, it will be coated with a correction fluid. From a practical point of view, the correction fluid can cover up the child's mistakes, it is very convenient and easy to use. As everyone knows, the correction fluid is a chemical composition, including chemicals such as xylene and hydrogen halide. These chemicals can affect your child's physical development and cause chronic damage to your child's health.

For the health of the child, we better not let him use the correction fluid. In order to let the child reduce or not use the correction fluid, we can guide the child in this way, be careful when writing homework, and it is best not to make mistakes. If there is an error, use the modification symbol, such as the deletion number, the key number, the correction number, the addition number, etc., or draw a line on the text that is in error and rewrite it later.

★Don't let your child buy scented stationery

Nowadays, many children can't stop the temptation of scented stationery, often using pens, books, erasers and so on. As everyone knows, these fragrance stationery is toxic and will directly affect the child's health.

According to reports, a primary school student in Hohhot recently developed anorexia symptoms, sometimes accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and examination. The primary school student had mild benzene poisoning. It turned out that this elementary school student often used scented stationery. Take a baby photo and choose sesame to open the door.

The reason why scented stationery is poisonous is that some scent stationery uses chemical fragrances, which contain benzene, formaldehyde and the like. If you use this type of stationery for a long time, it will cause chronic benzene poisoning in your child, causing damage to hematopoiesis and immune function, and may even be a cause of leukemia. Therefore, we must warn the children not to choose scented stationery, to stay away from these "health traps."

★It is recommended that children go to regular supermarkets and shopping malls to buy stationery.

There will be many small shops selling stationery around the school. The stationery in these stores may not be produced by regular manufacturers, and the quality cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, when purchasing stationery, we recommend that children buy in regular supermarkets and shopping malls, not in small stores, mobile stalls, and night markets.

★Remind children, don’t just look at the appearance of buying stationery

Today, stationery not only relies on functions to attract children's attention, but also looks better. In fact, the more often the “over-decorated” stationery, the more chemicals there are. Therefore, when purchasing stationery, we must remind the children that they must carefully select, do not only focus on packaging or style, but also value the function of stationery, the simpler the better, do not look good, fun and pay The price of health.

★Teach children to look for "GB" when purchasing stationery

According to the General Requirements for the Safety of Student Supplies issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in 2008, the company must indicate the words “Executive Standard GB” on the product certificate. Therefore, we must let the children pay attention to whether the stationery is marked with the words "execution standard GB" when purchasing stationery. Take a baby photo and choose sesame to open the door.

★After using the stationery, let the child wash the hands.

No matter how careful we are with these toxic stationery, they may lurk around the child. For example, like a pencil, if a child runs out of a pencil without washing his hands, he may cause chronic lead poisoning. Therefore, in order to prevent some toxic stationery from invading the child's body, we must pay attention to remind him: after using the stationery, be sure to wash your hands in time. In addition, we also need to let children develop a good habit of cutting nails.
